Rare King Edward VII 1902 Coronation Chair Mahogany Antique


King Edward VII & Queen Alexandra 1902 Coronation Chair. Made by the manufactory of Thomas Glenister (Temple Works, High Wycombe) for the Coronation of King Edward VII & Alexandra in Westminster Abbey on 9 August 1902.
Solid Mahogany, stamped to back ‘E.R. VII Coronation’ (Crown illustrated) also signed marked under frame. With original lift out seat insert frame.
We decided to offer this wonderful rare antique chair in its current original condition as a project for the home décor enthusiast, an easy task to replace the rush or simply upholster the lift out seat inset to your own desired fabric, all joints are solid & tight, frame having marks, ware & tare. Significant part of history, that will make a beautiful décor and much admired fabulous piece.
